The Fort Gordon Youth Services (YS) program is committed to providing quality programming for youth ages 11-18. YS is an affiliate of both 4-H and Boys and Girls Clubs of America, providing several year round active clubs for youth to enjoy.
- Keystone Club: Organized leadership programs for youth ages 14-18 who are interested in community service, leadership and development, education and career exploration, and social recreation.
- Torch Club: Organized for youth 11-13 who are interested in community service, education, health and fitness, and social recreation.
- Smart Moves: Is a program that encourages positive behaviors, health, well-being, and personal success of youth.
- 4-H: Is a youth development program that promotes “learning by doing.” Monthly business meetings and weekly 4-H projects are conducted. Programs include: photography, technology, citizenship, art, and cooking.
Additional Activities:A wide variety of FREE activities that includes monthly dances, sports challenges, field trips and lock-ins.
We provide FREE transportation to the YS Program from various schools off post.

The Homework Center offers FREE assistance to students with their daily assignments. Equipped with a library of resource materials and literature, youth of all academic levels can engage in activities to supplement their studies. The following assistance programs are offered:

- High School Graduation Test
- Language
- Social Studies
The HIRED! Program

The HIRED! Program is designed to meet the workforce-preparation and secondary-education exploration needs of eligible 15-18 year old youth. High School Students who are accepted into the HIRED! Apprenticeship Program are placed in twelve (12) week-long positions with the Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) operations in the garrison. These 12-week long positions serve as exploratory work experiences under the guidance of a dedicated on-site mentor - hence the use of the name "apprenticeship." HIRED! Apprenticeship Terms are twelve (12) weeks long and purposely aligned with specific career paths designed to pave the way into college or higher education. Apprentices must commit to fifteen (15) hours within a seven (7) day period for a total of 180 hours per HIRED! Apprenticeship Term. The HIRED! Program is spearheaded by the Workforce Preparation, Mrs. JoAnn Lamberty, is located within the Youth Services building, Building 45410. The Fort Gordon Youth Technology Lab offers classes that are educational as well as fun and exciting for various age groups.
Youth will have the opportunity to learn basic computer skills, digital photography, and web design through the following programs:

- 4-H Photo Tech Club
- Science and Technology Club

Child and Youth Services offers a variety of competitive sports leagues for both boys and girls throughout the calendar year.
Volunteers Needed
We are always looking for volunteers to have a positive impact on children's lives! The Fort Gordon Youth Sports Program is recruiting Head Coaches to take the healm of Fort Gordon youth sports teams. If you like sports and love children, please contact Undre Smith, Jr. at (706) 791-5104, about volunteer opportunities.
Register with Parent Central Services. Please observe sports registration dates; after the deadline date, youth will be added to a waiting list and chosen on a first-come basis.
