Cinco de Mayo kicked off with Military Appreciation Day at the carnival. Thousands turned out for the following three day Latin festival which formally commenced with the traditional Opening Ceremony. With music from Orquesta Tobega and a variety of vendors and concessions, festival goers enjoyed traditional music, dancing, food and activities such as the ever-popular piñatas. Children were treated to a Kid’s Corner where they participated in Egg & Spoon races, crafts and the money-grab machine.
