MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
The
Directorate of Morale Welfare & Recreation / Sports and Recreation
Division would like to invite you to obtain membership in the Fort
Gordon Sportsman's Club. The program provides the
sportsperson a safe hunting, fishing, archery, and recreational shooting
venue; and to promote responsible fish and game conservation among all
individuals of Ft. Gordon and the Augusta community.
Memberships are available to active and retired members of the Armed
Forces, DOD civilians, contractor personnel with contracts that exceed
90 days. Associate Memberships are now available to civilian residents
of the CSRA community not affiliated with Ft. Gordon. (Associate
memberships do not entitle members to Ft. Gordon hunting and fishing
privileges.)
The Outdoor Recreation Program sponsors a variety of activities and events
for Ft. Gordon and the Augusta community including Georgia Hunter
Education Courses, outdoor education seminars, turkey shoots, youth
fishing derbies, big buck contests, and 3-D archery tournaments.
The Tactical Advantage Sportsman's Complex
serves as headquarters for monthly meetings held every third Thursday
night from 7-8:30 p.m., with club sponsored dinners beginning at 6 p.m.
Membership benefits include reduced rates at Range 14,
fishing tournaments, and archery tournaments.
Membership fees are $70.00 per year for Active Membership and
$100.00 per year for Active Family Memberships.
Associate Membership fees are $140.00 per year and
$175.00 per year for Associate Family Memberships.

RECREATIONAL SHOOTING!
Tactical
Advantage Sportsman's Complex, Range 14 is open every Wednesday &
Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on specified Saturdays listed
above. The range is open for zeroing firearms, sport shooting, pistol,
rifle, and black powder shooting. A
3-D
archery range is open for archery shooting. The cost for shooting is
$9.00 per round, per person, FGSC Members shoot for $4.00, and youth
under the age of 16 shoot for $1.00.
SKEET & TRAP FIELDS! Hours
of operation are
every Wednesday and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturdays from
9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 1
- 5 p.m.
Group reservations (5 or more) are available by appointment. Call
706-791-5078 or 706-833-2834 for more information. Rates are $8.00 per
round skeet or trap. $4.00 per round FGSC members. Open to all Fort
Gordon ID cardholders and their guests.
SPORTING CLAYS COURSE - 10 stations! Hours of operation are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. - 7:00
p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sundays from 1 - 5 p.m. Rates
are 50 rounds for $20.00 and $12.00 for FGSC members; 100 rounds for
$40.00 and $24.00 for FGSC members.
*Firearms can legally be brought onto the installation for the purpose
of hunting or firing at the approved firing range, and only for the
period of time the person possessing the firearm is hunting or firing on
the range.
The cost is $20 per person, per tournament, Members pay $10 per
person / $5 big fish pot (optional) First place team will receive
$100 and second place team will receive $50. Open to all ID
cardholders and members of the public with a Fort Gordon fishing
license guest permit.
All tournaments are held
at Butler Reservoir from daylight - 12:00 p.m. unless otherwise
noted.
Kid’s Fishing Derbies...
Open to the public at no charge!
Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in each age group for the
most pounds of fish caught. Free T-Shirt to the first 300 kids. Free
hotdogs and sodas for the kids. Kids need to bring their own fishing
pole (limit one rod per child). Live bait will be supplied.

* Registration begins at 10a.m. for FGSC Tournaments / Shooting begins at 11 a.m. $15.00 per person, $7.50 FGSC members for 20 target tournaments.
* Hunting Class Tournament $20.00 per person. OVER $1200 IN PRIZES. T-Shirt given to first fifty participants.
* GBAA (Georgia Bowhunter and Archery Association) State Tournaments $25.00 Per person, $15.00 for ages 12 thru 14 and $10.00 for those 11 and under. Pre-registration reccomended, $5.00 Late Registration. Must be a member of the GBAA or NFAA to participate in the state trounaments. Guest Classes available for the GBAA tournaments.
** ASA (Archery Shooters Association) Participants must be pre-registered with ASA to participate.

The course is held at the EAMC 1st
floor auditorium from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. each night. Hunters
wishing to hunt on Fort Gordon must complete both nights of this course.
The course is free of charge and open to the public. Pre-registration is
recommended at

Special Regulations:
All hunting subject to
Post regulations; firearm deer hunting limited to shotguns with slugs
only or primitive weapons. Hunters not associated with the military
installation may apply for permits for all species by letter between May
1-15, to WRD-Game Management, 142 Bob Kirk Rd. NW, Thomson, GA 30824.
Include full name, address, social security number, date of birth, and
telephone number in letter. No more than 3 applicants per letter. You
must be 16 years old to apply. Permits required to hunt. Access may be
restricted due to training requirements. All hunters must possess a
hunter safety certificate.

27 Foot Gulf Stream Enclosed Recreation Vehicle
for Towing
We have 4 Travel Trailers available to tow
to your vacation destination. Tow vehicle used must be rated to tow the
gross combined weight (GCWR) and to carry the tongue weight of the fully
loaded trailer. The trailer can be towed with full size trucks,
vans and SUV’s. (Check owner’s manual for GCWR)
Requirements needed to tow vehicle: 7
prong hook-up, electric brakes and proof of insurance. We provide
2 5/16” ball, the hitch and sway bars.
GCWR: 7500 LBS. (This is the
maximum permissible weight of the trailer
CAMPERS... Outdoor Recreation has 4 rental campers with
2 bedrooms, shower, heat/air, complete kitchen (with microwave,
pots/pans, dishes for 6), and TV. Comfortably sleeps 4-5. Two-night
minimum reservations. Linens may be exchanged at The Outdoor
Resource Center.
NO PETS ALLOWED INSIDE RENTAL UNITS.
RESERVATIONS:A two-night
minimum stay is required with reservations. A credit card will hold
reservation. Reservations may be made 60 days in advance.
Specific camper preference will be noted, if available. Campers are
identical in structure, and reservation will secure only available

CANCELLATION:Cancellations must
be received no less than three (3) days prior to check-in. A one-night
fee will be processed for less than 3-day cancellation notice.
CHECK-OUT REQUIREMENTS:
Before departing trailer units, customers are required to:
1. Remove all trash and debris to dumpster.
2. Wash, dry, and put away dishes used.
3. Remove sheets and pillow cases from bed and place used linens in a
pile.
4. Sweep floor.
