Date: Saturday, 14 June 2008.  Teams start times will be staggered and will begin at 0900.  Start times for groups will be posted in the DMWR Marketing office Darling Hall, room 337 and on line Friday, 6 June 2008.

CURRENT TEAMS - Starting Times

Place:  The starting point for the Challenge is located aboard Ft. Gordon, GA in the field located at the intersection of 3rd Ave and 3rd Ave bypass (behind the PXtra).  Parking will be available near the Ft. Gordon water tower.

Course:  The course will be challenging.  It will consist of a 4.5 Mile off-road route with numerous obstacles, a stream crossing, hills and of course MUD.  We recommend that you wear old clothes and shoes (hint: pockets will fill up and pants without draw strings will come off) (bring a change of clothes)

Team Categories:  Male, Female, COED, JROTC, and Para-Military.   Teams will consist of four members, and this is a Marine event, we leave no one on the battlefield and you may not leave a team member on the course.  All team members must complete each obstacle and finish together.   Minimum age for team members is 13.  Each team member will complete an individual registration form.  (Have a Team Name and be creative)

Team Registration Fees:  Early registration fee (post marked by 25 May, in person or online June 1st) is $20.00 per person for a team of 4Late registration (Race day) after June 1st will be $25.00 person for a team of 4.

Team awards:  1st, 2nd, and 3rd for each Category will be awarded at completion of event. 

Registration forms:  Download the registration form. Upon completing the registration form, mail it to the address provided or deliver in person to DMWR Marketing office Darling Hall, room 337, Monday- Friday 0900-1600.

T-Shirts:  Each adult participant will receive a T-shirt to prove they were up for the challenge.  T-shirts will be distributed at the registration desk the day of the event.  Race day registrants may receive T-Shirt subject to availability.  Additional T-shirts may be ordered on your registration form at $10.00 each.

Children’s Challenge:  A 1-mile course has been set-up for our younger participants (ages 5-12).   It consists of a noncompetitive off road route with log and wall obstacles and of course MUD(WARNING: THEY WILL GET REALLY DIRTY!)  The cost will be $5 for each child.  The young participant s may be aided by parents through the course.  Each participant will receive a Marine Mud Challenge dog tag and chain.  There will be 3 start times for the Children’s challenge 0800, 0815, and 0830.
