Membership Information

The Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare & Recreation / Sports and Recreation Division would like to invite you to obtain membership in the Fort Gordon Sportsman's Club. The program provides the sportsperson a safe hunting, fishing, archery, and recreational shooting venue; and to promote responsible fish and game conservation among all individuals of Fort Gordon and the Augusta community.

Memberships are available to active and retired members of the Armed Forces, DOD civilians, contractor personnel with contracts that exceed 90 days. Associate Memberships are now available to civilian residents of the CSRA community not affiliated with Fort Gordon. (Associate memberships do not entitle members to Fort Gordon hunting and fishing privileges.)

The Outdoor Recreation Program sponsors a variety of activities and events for Fort Gordon and the Augusta community including Georgia Hunter Education Courses, pheasant hunts, turkey shoots, youth fishing derbies, fishing tournaments, and 3-D archery tournaments. The Tactical Advantage Sportsman's Complex serves as headquarters for monthly meetings held every third Thursday night from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., with club sponsored dinners beginning at 6 p.m.

Membership benefits include reduced rates at Range 14, fishing tournaments,  and archery tournaments. Membership fees are $70.00 per year for Active Membership and $100.00 per year for Active Family Memberships.

Associate Membership fees are $140.00 per year and $175.00 per year for Associate Family Memberships.

Shooting Range

ATTN: There will be NO shooting during Masters Week (8-14 April 2014). Regular Schedule to resume 15 April 14.

RECREATIONAL SHOOTING! Tactical Advantage Sportsman's Complex, Range 14 is open every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on specified Saturdays listed above. The range is open for zeroing firearms, sport shooting, pistol, rifle, and black recshootingpowder shooting. A3-D archery range is open for archery shooting. The cost for shooting is $10.00 per day, per person, FGSC Members shoot for $5.00, and youth under the age of 16 shoot for $2.00.

SKEET & TRAP FIELDS!  Hours of operation are Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 1 - 5 p.m. Group reservations (5 or more) are available by appointment. Call 706-791-5078 or 706-833-2834 for more information. Rates are $8.00 per round skeet or trap. $4.00 per round FGSC members. Open to all Fort Gordon ID cardholders and their guests.

SPORTING CLAYS COURSE - 10 stations!
Hours of operation are Wednesday , Thursday and Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sundays from 1 - 5 p.m. Rates are 50 rounds for $20.00 and $12.00 for FGSC members; 100 rounds for $40.00 and $24.00 for FGSC members.

*Firearms can legally be brought onto the installation for the purpose of hunting or firing at the approved firing range, and only for the period of time the person possessing the firearm is hunting or firing on the range.

Fishingfishing

The cost is $20 per person, per tournament, Members pay $10 per person / $5 big fish pot (optional) First place team will receive $100 and second place team will receive $50. Open to all ID cardholders and members of the public with a Fort Gordon fishing license guest permit.

All tournaments are held at Butler Reservoir from daylight - 12:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

Kid’s Fishing Derbies...
Open to the public at no charge!
Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in each age group for the most pounds of fish caught. Free T-Shirt to the first 300 kids. Free hotdogs and sodas for the kids. Kids need to bring their own fishing pole (limit one rod per child). Live bait will be supplied.

Hunting / Georgia Hunter Education Courses

Courses are held on the first floor auditorium of Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon. Hunters wishing to hunt on Fort Gordon must complete both nights of this course. The course is free of charge and open to the public. Pre-registration is recommended at www.georgiawildlife.com.Hunters may now call (706) 791-5010 to get information on open and closed hunting areas on Fort Gordon. Licenses are sold at The Tactical Advantage Sportsman's Complex, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Tuesday-Friday, and 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday..

Special Regulations:
All hunting subject to Post regulations; firearm deer hunting limited to shotguns with slugs only or primitive weapons. Hunters not associated with the military installation may apply for permits for all species by registering in the Quota Hunt at www.georgiawildlife.com between 1 May and 15 May. You must be 16 years old to apply. Permits required to hunt. Access may be restricted due to training requirements. All hunters must possess a hunter safety certificate.

Leitner Lake Conference Center



Located on the serene Leitner Lake and minutes from the heart of Fort Gordon, this breath-taking, new facility offers a multi-functional with seating to comfortably accommodate up to 250 guests. Our cabin style building gives the feeling of being away from it all while being a short drive from virtually all areas of the CSRA. Our spacious deck overlooking the water of provides the ideal setting for pre-function receptions. Adjustable lighting and a comfortable, lush padded seating area ensures the perfect ambience for every event.

Tables and chairs are included with your room rental, and with both round and rectangular tables to offer, a nearly limitless array of room layouts can be arranged to suit your events every need. Ample, convenient parking is located just outside the main entrance, and public restrooms are near the side of the room to ensure every guest’s convenience while also providing privacy.

Leitner Lake Conference Center offers a caterer for your special events located on Fort Gordon. Gordon’s Conference and Catering Center’s menus include their most popular items at a reasonable cost.  If you prefer to customize a menu, the catering staff will be happy to work with you.  The experienced staff will offer suggestions and recommendations for theme parties and/or packages that will make your event unique.  These types of packages include both traditional and most popular menu items. The Catering Manager can help you plan for any additional items needed that are beyond the standard banquet needs.  Please take time to review the Catering Brochure and General Information package to help you plan your next event.  Our goal is to provide quality, consistent service, and exceptional creative cuisine in a unique setting for you and your guests. Guests at Leitner Lake Conference Center may select independent caterers for their events at an additional fee.

Leitner Lake Campground

Leitner Lake Campground has twenty-two full hook-up sites with 30/50 amp electric service, water and sewage, picnic tables and grill.  A primitive camping area and picnic area with lake front view is available. We have a new comfort station with bathroom, showers and washer and dryers.

For the campsites ($18.00 per night) all sites are rented on a first-come, first serve basis. All campers must register at the Outdoor Recreation Office (Bldg. 00445, Carter Rd.)  Campers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

COST:
$18.00 per day
$12.00 per day 62 and older & 100% service-connected Disabled Vets

Leitner Lake Trailer Rentals

CAMPERS: Outdoor Recreation has one rental camper  ($50.00 per night) with 2 bedrooms, shower, heat/air, complete kitchen (with microwave, pots/pans, dishes for 6) and TV. Comfortably sleeps 4-5.  Two-night minimum reservations. NO PETS ALLOWED INSIDE RENTAL UNITS.

RESERVATIONS:
A two-night minimum stay is required with reservations.  Reservations may be made 60 days in advance.

CANCELLATION: Cancellations must be received no less than three (3) days prior to check-in. A one-night fee will be processed for less than 3-day cancellation notice.

CHECK-OUT REQUIREMENTS:
Before departing trailer units, customers are required to:
1. Remove all trash and debris to dumpster.
2. Wash, dry, and put away dishes used.
3. Remove sheets and pillow cases from bed and place used linens in a pile.
4. Sweep floor.
