Study participation may provide a medication that contains cholesterol-lowering medicine and includes (at no cost):

• FDA-approved study drugs along with placebo (an inactive substance)

• Close monitoring and study-related care - including lifestyle  counseling related to diet, exercise, and smoking cessation.
