Fort Gordon’s Conflict Resolution Course (Anger Management Course): Mondays from 1 – 4 PM. The course consists of four, three hours sessions. In the event the Monday falls on a holiday, the schedule is adjusted to ensure the 12 hours of training is provided. Upon completion, the participant is provided a certificate of completion. To attend the training, participants must be militarily affiliated (active duty, retiree, DA/DoD civilian/contractor or a family member).
The course defines anger, identifies elements contribution to the likelihood of becoming angry, and provides cognitive and behavioral techniques to control anger. Each participant develops an anger management plan, which allows the individual to identify and incorporate specific techniques to control his/her anger. Although training is designed to assist each participant in gaining insight into his/her behavior(s), FAP Medical, Military One Source or the Military Family Life Consultant are the agencies responsible for providing (psychological) treatment, if treatment is required.
