Foodie Friday: The Augusta Market

Spring has arrived!  Ok, maybe Georgia can’t make up it’s mind and we are all still feeling frozen, but that won’t stop us!  The Augusta Market (TAM) erected their tents Saturday, March 17, for all to come and enjoy the slightly soggy weather.  This farmer’s market includes delicious produce, as well as, artisans and crafts workers selling their goods.  It is every Saturday, March through November, from 8am – 2pm in the 8th St. Plaza, Downtown Augusta.

Every market season, The Augusta Market partners with Garden City Jazz to bring new bands and musicians to play for the market goers.  This “Saturday Morning Swing” brings a lively and positive vibe to the very colorful displays each vendor has.  Tables, crates and baskets adorn the plaza with almost every type of fruit and vegetable imaginable during the season.

There are always fun and exciting events hosted such as, The Riverside Art Festival, Triple 8 Group Run, Clown Shows and appearances of Digger, Augusta’s River Otter.

Get the family together this coming Saturday and head down to grab some fresh produce for this weeks dinners.
