The Fort Gordon Employment Readiness Program provides information and referral services in the areas of employment, education, training, transition, and volunteer opportunities to assist family members with the challenges of searching for a new job and give them the competitive edge needed to secure employment.
The Employment Readiness Program offers a wide range of services including resume development, local job market research, home business opportunities, on-and-off post job listings, career counseling, internet access, job notification referral list and an employment and education resource library. The Employment Readiness Program also offers a variety of workshops and individual training sessions. Additional one-on-one resume assistance is offered upon request!
The Employment Readiness Program operates as “your one stop job search office”. We want you to feel welcome, make yourself “at home” and use the facilities at Army Community Services. Our office is located in Darling Hall, Room 155. All Federal jobs are posted on www.usajobs.gov.
ERP offers both Federal and Private Industry Resume Workshops to assist job seekers in creating an effective resume or to improve the one you already have. Our goal is to transform your resume into a powerful tool that will get you interviews. The Soldier For Life Transition Assistance Program (formerly known as ACAP) is the main employment liaison for transitioning service members.
Our Job Searching Strategies Workshop assists job seekers in getting a jump start in their job searching process. Information will be provided on contract opportunities, local job search engines, on and off post employment, the Military Spouse Employment Partnership Program and much, much more.
Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO): A program offered to all military spouses, through Military OneSource, which offers employment assistance with exploring portable career options; education, training, financial aid and state occupational license/credential requirements; career readiness to include interview skills, resume building, etc.; and links to employment sources such as the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) and USAjobs.
Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA): Offered to eligible military spouses by the OSD, the Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) program is restricted to spouses of active duty E1-E5, W1-W2, and O1-O2 serving on Title 10 orders. Financial assistance is limited to $4,000. Financial assistance must be used within three years of the start date of the first class. Financial assistance may only be used for an Associate Degree, occupational license or credential. For more information go to Military OneSource.
Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP): An expanding partnership between military Spouses seeking employment and corporate businesses committed to providing meaningful and portable careers. Passport Career helps individuals with their international job search by providing detailed, country-specific resources on all aspects of the job search and alternative opportunities. Content includes detailed guidance on local styles and expectations for resumes and CVs, interviews, salaries, work permits, business culture, best employers, and more.
