Family Support Group (NPSP): A monthly support group for parents with young children. This is an opportunity for parents to have a discussion facilitated by experts on a variety of common parenting challenges. Each month an issue such as potty training, tips on feeding picky eaters, discipline, helping service members reconnect with their child after separation and other hot topics are covered. Parents have a chance to network with one another as well as receive support and information from experts. The group meets at the Family Outreach Center (FOC) 2nd Friday of every month from 0930 to 1100. Child care may be available. Registration is required.
Active Duty Support Group (NPSP): A group specifically for Active Duty parents to share and receive support around balancing the unique challenges of being an active duty service member and parent (Work-Life balance, self-care, making the most of your quality time and other topics discussed). This group meets every first Thursday of the month at the FOC from 12:00-12:45 pm. No registration required.
Breastfeeding Support Group (NPSP): Come meet other breast feeding mothers and babies and receive support and information around common breastfeeding challenges. Pre-natal women encouraged to join the group if they are considering breast feeding to build a supportive network and receive helpful information regarding common breastfeeding challenges. Babies are welcome, must have proof of immunization records. 3rd Tuesday of every month from 1300 to 1500 at the FOC.
Perinatal Yoga Support Group (NPSP): Certified Yoga Instructors facilitate a Perinatal Yoga class aimed at reducing Perinatal Depression and Anxiety. Pre-natal mothers and post-partum mothers (babies who attend must be pre-mobile) are encouraged to participate. Free resources provided, must be able to commit to all sessions. Psycho education on sleep, anxiety reduction techniques, breathing techniques, yoga postures and movements and relaxation exercises. Offered Quarterly, Registration required.Pinterest
